Agreement between Lundaspelen and international referees 2024

Lundaspelen gives you a unique opportunity to be a referee for international handball at a high level.
Lundaspelen is played in Lund and its surroundings between 26-30 December 2024
Match commission (2×15 min)

Important information
– Please note that Lundaspelen does not cover additional costs that may occur in your own country such as bank transfers or taxes.
– The commission written above is before taxes.
– It is very important that your bank details are filled in correctly (name of bank, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC and TIN number). We cannot guarantee your commission if there are incorrect numbers or names
Travel expenses
Lundaspelen offers compensation for travel expenses up to (max.) SEK 1.500 and only upon presentation of a receipt. If you are driving, we offer the same compensation (max SEK 1.500) but then you have to be minimum 3 persons (referees) in the car and a driving record must be presented. We suggest that you book travel as soon as you have been approved as a referee for Lundaspelen 2024. Please note that we compensate against receipt UP TO a maximum of SEK 1.500
Transfer
The referee is responsible for transfers to and from your accommodation on the day of arrival and departure.
Accommodation
Lundaspelen offers free hotel accommodation, for visiting referees, between 26-30/12 (4 nights).
If you need hotel accommodation, this must be stated in the application.
The referee cannot choose which hotel to stay in nor which type of room. Most rooms are multi-bedrooms (2-4 people/room).
When staying at a hotel, breakfast is included in the accommodation.
If you want/need to stay extra nights, we will charge SEK 1,300/night for a double room and the same for single room
Meals
Lundaspelen offers lunch and dinner 27-29/12 as well as a light meal in connection with the referees meeting on 26/12.
Travel during the Games
Referees may travel free of charge on the Lundaspels buses as well as the local transport routes that are included in the Lundaspelscard
Referee equipment
Each referee is responsible for bringing all necessary equipment themselves.
Application
The application as a referee for the Lundaspelen is made via the website www.lundaspelen.com. All referees register in person. The deadline for registration is 30 November 2024
Calling and selection takes place continuously.
Project manager

Referees criteria
Age
You must be 16 years old.
Classification:
You must be an authorized and approved referee by your handball district.
Status:
You must have passed your district’s established requirements in 2024.
Experience:
You should preferably have a few years of experience in refereeing handball. In the application, you write which age group you referee for today.
Referees meeting:
You must attend the mandatory referees meeting on 26/12. More info will come closer to the tournament.
Payment of any travel expensive and commission:
The match cards are the basis for payment of referee commissions. Payment takes place two weeks after the end of the tournament provided that correct information has been submitted.
General information
During Lundaspelen, pairs of referees are signed to approx. 2,500 matches.
Everyone who is selected to referee Lundaspelen mostly do so 27-29/12. On 26/12 only a couple of matches will be played and on 30/12 there will be finals in 2 arenas
We aim for each referee to referee six to eight matches per day and a maximum of two consecutive matches. Due to high pressure, there are usually more matches than that.
Final referees are selected during the tournament week. Personal match lists are distributed at the latest in connection with the referees meeting on 26/12
Cup Manager profile – your official page
As a referee during Lundaspelen, you get a personal login to your Cup Manager profile. This is the website where you update your profile, see your matches you will referee and receive important information about your assignment.
