(Alcohol, Narcotics, Doping and Tobacco)
Purpose
This policy sets out Lundaspelen Handball’s position regarding alcohol, narcotics, doping and tobacco (ANDT). It serves as a statement of intent and an overall guiding framework for Lundaspelen as an event organizer.
The purpose of the policy is to clarify the organizer’s fundamental approach to ANDT-related matters and to promote a safe, enjoyable and positive environment for all participants, in line with the core values of the tournament: Memories for Life, a Handball Festival for the Whole World, and an Open and Warm Tournament.
- Alcohol shall not be consumed by players, coaches or team officials in connection with Lundaspelen.
- Narcotics and doping substances shall not be used by players, coaches or team officials in connection with Lundaspelen.
- Lundaspelen is conducted in completely smoke-free environments, both indoors and outdoors.
Alcohol
In Sweden, it is illegal to offer or purchase alcohol for minors, meaning persons under the age of 20.
- Alcohol is not permitted in any Lundaspelen facilities, including school accommodations and sports halls.
- Coaches and team officials must not consume alcohol during Lundaspelen, as they are responsible for children and youth participants.
- If any guest consumes alcohol within Lundaspelen facilities, the police will be contacted.
- If any underage guest consumes alcohol outside Lundaspelen facilities, the police will be contacted.
Narcotics and Doping
- Narcotic and doping-classified substances are strictly prohibited at Lundaspelen unless prescribed by a physician.
- If a participant has been prescribed medication containing narcotic or doping-classified substances, a written exemption must be requested from the Lundaspelen Competition Management.
- Players, coaches and team officials are encouraged to follow the Swedish Sports Confederation’s recommendation to avoid the use of dietary supplements unless for strictly medical reasons. Please note that dietary supplements may contain doping-classified substances.
- If any guest uses narcotics or doping substances, the police will be contacted.
Tobacco
- Smoking is not permitted in any Lundaspelen facilities, including school accommodations, school grounds and sports halls.
- This also applies to e-cigarettes, with or without tobacco.
Intoxicated or Impaired Persons
- In case of disturbances or problems at accommodations, the local police should be contacted.
- Team officials must ensure that responsibility for the care and supervision of youth participants is clearly assigned.
