Rules for Shoot-Out G14/B14 in playoff games

·       Five (5) players/team are chosen to take part in the shoot-out. These players are noted and will execute their toss in the order that they were noted. All of the players chosen to take part in the shoot-out must be eligible to play.

·       In the shoot-out, the referees use a toss of coin to determine which team starts. The team that won the toss of coin decides which team will start the shoot-out, the loosing team decides on which side they play.

·       Both goalkeepers position themselves in the goals.

·       The court player stands with the ball in the playing area with one foot on the 9-meter line. (The player decides where.)

·       The passing (attacking) goalkeeper starts off by standing on the goal line with at least one foot and is allowed to move as soon as the ball has left the court player’s hand.

·       When the referee whistles the player throws the ball to the goalkeeper standing on the goal line, and starts the attack. During the pass or the catch of the ball, the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. Once the ball has left the attacking player’s hand, both goalkeepers may move forward. However, both goalkeepers must remain in their goal area. The attacking goalkeeper must within three (3) seconds pass the ball to his/her teammate, who is running towards the opponent´s goal. During this pass or the catch of the attacking player, the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. The attacking player catches the boll and may take up to three (3) steps before shooting. During the shot, the ball is allowed to bounce on the floor before crossing the goal line.

·       The attacking player must catch the ball and try to score a goal without dribbling or any other rule violation. If the attacking goalkeeper or the court player commits a rule violation, the attack is over.

·       In case of the defending goalkeeper committing a rule violation by leaving his/her goal area during a shoot-out attempt of an attacking player, the following rule specification concerning ”progressive punishment” shall apply:

·       if the defending goalkeeper does not touch the attacking player:                                                 In case of a regular goal scored by the attacking player – goal decision and warning (yellow card) for the defending goalkeeper

·       In case of no goal scored by the attacking player – 7m penalty for the attacking team and warning (yellow card) for the defending goalkeeper.

·       If the defending goalkeeper touches the attacking player                                                           In case of a regular goal scored by the attacking player – goal decision and disqualification (red card) for the defending goalkeeper                                                  In case of no goal scored by the attacking player – 7m penalty for the attacking team and disqualification (red card) for the defending goalkeeper (any player eligible to play can replace the goalkeeper in that case).

·       Any additional leaving of the goal area by the defending goalkeeper during a shoot-out attempt by the attacking player shall be penalized by disqualification (red card) (any player eligible to play can replace the goalkeeper in that case).

·       Teams may substitute the goalkeeper as they wish. For example, one goalkeeper can do the throw-out, and another goalkeeper can play during defense. Court players substituting a goalkeeper need to wear a vest the same color as the goalkeeper’s jersey.

·       During the first part of the shoot out, all five (5) attacks must be completed.

·       If the score is not settled after that, each team nominates one (1) additional player. This player may be one of the players used during the first round.

·       The teams now complete one attack each until one team has scored more goals than the other, under the condition that both teams had the same number of attempts.
